Dan Scungio, MLS (ASCP), SLS, CQA (ASQ), has over 30 years of experience as a certified lab scientist and a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. For the past 15 years, he has worked as a laboratory safety officer for Sentara Health, and as “Dan the Lab Safety Man,” he is a laboratory safety consultant. Dan provides on-site education, auditing and safety training for labs of all sizes with a mission to help organizations create safety-savvy laboratories.
