Cody Henderson, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has dedicated over 16 years to advancing the design of laboratory spaces and has been integral in over 500 laboratory projects, including multiple LEED certified laboratories and Missouri’s first certified Net Zero Energy commercial building. He is an associate principal and senior project architect at Mackey Mitchell Architects in St. Louis. He was the chair of the AIA Young Architects Forum St. Louis in 2016, president of AIA St. Louis in 2020, and a recipient of the national AIA Young Architects Award in 2021. He currently serves as a director on the AIA Missouri Board and a trustee of the AIA St. Louis Scholarship Fund. He has also lectured at the 2026 Laboratory Design Conference and the International Institute for Sustainable Labs national conference. In his spare time, Cody loves to travel with his wife, plays softball, and is a construction leader for Habitat for Humanity St. Louis.
