Alejandra Menchaca, PhD, LEED AP, is a Senior Building Scientist/Associate with Boston’s Payette. Her experience includes Energy Modeling, Daylight Analysis, Natural Ventilation Analysis, THERM/Thermal Envelope Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics/Airflow Modeling projects at educational institutions and other facilities across the United States, China and Kenya. She has also worked on the natural ventilation systems in buildings in Tokyo. Alejandra is afflilated with professional organizations including ASHRAE, IBPSA and USGBC MA. She has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a Master of Science in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering from MIT and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
