David Thomson joined Cooper Carry in 1995 and was named an Associate Director in 2011, and later an Associate Principal in 2015. David practices in the Science + Technology Specialty Practice Group and has more than 32 years of professional design experience with the last 26 years specializing in healthcare, laboratory, and educational facilities design. His expertise includes the design of public and private research facilities, programming, laboratory design, and sustainable design. David has a vital role in the coordination and design of complex teaching / research laboratories and technically complex facilities with sophisticated scientific equipment. David’s work helped Emory University Mathematics & Science Center receive the 2002 AIA Merit Award for Design in the State of Georgia. David was an integral part of the teams that completed the $60 million HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, the $45 million Health Sciences Building at Kennesaw State University and the $89 million Engineered Biosystems Building at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
