Josh Meyer, AIA, the Managing Principal of Jacobs Consultancy Inc, has been with the firm for over 32 years. Mr. Meyer is a registered architect in New York State and is a member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has served on the Committee on Cost of and Payment for Animal Research for the Institute for Laboratory Animal Research for the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences
Under his leadership, JCI has been involved in over 300 lab buildings totaling over 50 million square feet. JCI averages over 3 million square feet of lab and vivarium planning per year. JCI has completed over 120 animal facilities, ranging in size from 5,000 NSF to 120,000 NSF, totaling over 3 million square feet.
Mr. Meyer has participated in the programming and planning of major research projects and animal facilities for academic, institutional and corporate clients. His assignments include existing facilities analysis, facilities master planning, and macro- and micro-level development of laboratory, pilot plant, animal, and toxicology facilities.
Mr. Meyer has had direct project experience working at many top research facilities including, among others, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Oregon Health & Science University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Tulane University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Chicago, University of Maryland, University of Massachusetts Medical School, University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia, Washington University St. Louis, and Weill Cornell Medical College.
