Over the past 10 years, the NIH has aimed to accelerate the pace of discovery in neuroscience research. This presentation will discuss the latest trends in neuroscience programs from coast to coast and the varying lab designs created to support the changing landscape—ranging from wet labs to MRIs and data visualization. With a national upswing of investment in neuroscience projects, we will explore new developments and introduce case studies from USC, Caltech, UPenn and UCSF and explore the lessons learned along the way.
• Receive context around the reason for an uptick in neuroscience projects and funding.
• Learn about best practices and design considerations in neuroscience lab design.
• Acquire an understanding of varied lab types within neuroscience programs.
• Contribute to a global understanding of the value and mission of neuroscience research.
